Peter MacGregor
I am delighted to have joined Libertine Global Solutions as a consultant in Emergency Response Management and I look forward to assessing and developing solutions for clients across the world in this vital area of corporate survival.
I believe that my professional background and recent experiences in Pakistan and Indonesia assessing and developing Emergency Response teams for the power industry puts me in a strong position, to develop this approach for other clients in similar high risk areas of the world; where Integrated Emergency Response would complement the existing security services that Libertine already provide.
Peter retired as a Principal Officer from the British Fire Service in the mid ninety’s having had 30 years experience in Fire and Civil Defence Management.
Post retirement Peter developed a risk management consultancy approach to provide clients with integrated emergency response solutions focusing on potential hostile environments and has travelled extensively around the world.
Peter first joined West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service in 1974 and progressed through the ranks serving in 13 different UK Fire and Rescue Authorities. These included large urban conurbations including Belfast at the height of the troubles. He has commanded the Emergency response to major urban terrorism including the Brighton bombing; Tern Hill barracks in Shropshire and major incidents in Belfast city, Peter was decorated for his actions during the Brighton bombing and commended whilst serving in Belfast. During his career he spent two years as a Course Director (command studies) at the Fire Services staff college in Morton in the Marsh.
Peter is a fellow of the Institution of Fire Engineers, a Corporate Member of the Institute of Occupational health and holds a Masters degree in Civil Emergency Management. He has also attended Emergency Management courses at both the Civil Defence College in Easingwold UK and the Homeland Defence College in Washington USA.
Peter lives with his partner Maggie in Port Solent in Hampshire where he is able to indulge his passion for competitive Yacht Racing where he has achieved success at an International level, however nowadays he is gaining great pleasure in teaching his three Grand Children and Partner to sail.
